What is atmospheric pressure ?
- The earth is surrounded by air all around.
- The thick envelope of air is called atmosphere.
- The atmosphere extends up to 150 kilometers above the surface of the earth.
- The pressure exerted by air is called atmospheric pressure.
- The atmospheric pressure at sea level is aproximately 1,00,000 N/m Square.
